Tony Harrison, CEO of Down To Earth Carbon (DTEC) and sister company Cariboo Carbon Solutions (CCS) is recognized for his post-wildfire restoration/tree planting efforts in a documentary commissioned by One Tree Planted. The film Keep Cool, by Montreal videographer Ed Akselrud, premiered in Manhattan at an NYC Climate Week event.
One Tree Planted is a DTEC partner and is supporting our signature ARBRE agroforestry ARR project in southeastern Quebec. They hosted the film premiere and the following panel discussion during which Tony shared his vision for mobilizing a wide range of public and private funding sources to restore vast areas destroyed by British Columbia’s catastrophic wildfires. This is a key focus of both DTEC and CCS who work closely with First Nations to ensure that their indigenous knowledge and traditional territory stewardship objectives are integrated into planning and implementation.
